Separate from the Frankfurt meeting, URF also promotes an 8th World Congress on Aging and Geriatrics (WCAG-2026) in Berlin, Germany. This edition leans more towards clinical geriatrics and practical elder-care delivery, while still retaining tracks on public-health and social dimensions. Topics generally include multimorbidity in older adults, delirium and dementia care, geriatric emergency medicine, rehabilitative care, pharmacotherapy in the elderly, and innovative models of long-term and palliative care.
Berlin’s reputation as a dynamic, creative European capital makes it a strong backdrop for discussions on modern senior-living, co-housing, community-care networks and digital-health adoption among older adults. The congress frequently features workshops on geriatric assessment tools, protocols for fall and fracture prevention, and best practices in care-home quality improvement.
India-oriented stakeholders can use WCAG Berlin to connect with European geriatricians, explore tele-education tie-ups, or discuss pilot projects that bring European guidelines into Indian hospital and community settings.
